Parents:
What to expect:
Student work will be displayed throughout the school as the 5th graders at Brown Elementary showcase their projects throughout the duration of the event. After viewing your own student's work, family members are encouraged to walk throughout the building listening to the different presentations that students have put together.
Please have your student there by 5:45 so they can get to their places and we can meet in the library to discuss Know Thyself. Family members are encouraged to walk throughout the building listening to the different presentations that students have put together.
What to bring:
For Monday's Know Thyself Night please bring a pair of headphones or earbuds that connect to your phone. The students created QR codes that take you to a video of their creation. Since the students will be close together, without headphones it can be difficult to hear let alone watch and listen at the same time.

Wednesday- Mary Leakey
Thursday- Make Connections Across Texts
Math- continuing to work on the unit: Place Value and Decimal Operations.
Unit Goals
- Students build from place value understanding in grade 4 to recognize that in a multi-digit number, a digit in one place represents 10 times as much as it represents in the place to its right and of what it represents in the place to its left. They use this place value understanding to round, compare, order, add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals.
